Hubert Reynier, founding director of VISCONTI Partners, is delighted to welcome Aurélien Henry, director of VELVET, today for a major announcement:

the creation of a center of excellence dedicated to the Chiefs of Staff, at the service of the performance of the manager and his organization

What is a Chief of Staff?

The Chief of Staff is a right-hand man for the manager of a company.

It will help him with governance, to prepare the agenda, to check the quality of the documents produced, to keep the chronometer of actions and decisions.

It's also going to be the Time Keeper of the operational governance of the company.

With the DAF, he will take care of the governance of the Board. He also generally takes on the role of PMO (Program Management Officer), which means mapping company transformation projects and managing some of these projects.

The Chief of Staff will also very often be in charge of the strategy, its framework and its execution.

He can also take care of the M&A part, so the management of investment banking and the post-merger part.

The Chief of Staff therefore has a very broad role in the company, which may vary depending on the circumstances.

Given the versatile and important role of this position, VELVET and VISCONTI decided to combine their knowledge to develop its performance.

Why launch this partnership now?

For two reasons:

  • Aurélien Henry's experience
  • and the advice shared with VISCONTI during his coaching sessions.

It was during these meetings that Hubert and Aurélien discussed the role of Chief of Staff and its added value for VELVET.

This change was, by far, the most structuring in the transformation of his company's performance.

VELVET has had a Chief of Staff for 2 years, but also offers Chiefs of Staff to its customers.

To integrate a Chief of Staff at VELVET, it was necessary to define the subject and present a position that did not exist to employees who did not necessarily know this role.

This transformation not only met an internal need, but also influenced the transformation of several of their customers.

The increasing complexity of business transformations makes it more essential than ever to use this strategic position.

Although essential, there is no training, no support and no tools to prepare for this position.

And therefore very little to support the performance of this key role in the organization.

Hence the reason why VELVET and VISCONTI Partners are launching a partnership today.

Why support the performance of the Chief of Staff?

The Chief of Staff is a profession whose scope is expanding. A few years ago, it was only present in large companies.

Today, this position is tending to be generalized in SMEs, ETIs and scale-ups in France.

This job is no longer dedicated only to the function of CEO but also to that of CTO or CSO.

VELVET and VISCONTI Partners have established a relationship of trust and are now offering to support the Chief of Staff.

VELVET, specialized in consulting and customer marketing, and VISCONTI Partners, a leader in the support of managers by managers, are complementary.

What offers do VISCONTI and VELVET offer?

The support offered by VISCONTI Partners and VELVET is based on three pillars:

  • Operate. Offer a Chief of Staff trained, equipped, with the VISCONTI Partners and VELVET methods in hand. Because the manager must operate this job of Chief of Staff, which means becoming aware of the need, defining it, recruiting it, training it and integrating it into the company. This can be a long process, several months, and the manager does not always have that time.
  • Train. Provide training sessions for Chief of Staff and future Chief of Staff who wish to work on the performance of a company with the best methods of supporting managers.
  • Coach. Provide executive support so that the best practices shared with managers can be applied by the Chief of Staff.

This tailor-made offer, linked to the maturity of the company, its culture and its needs, is the product of the complementarity between VISCONTI Partners and VELVET.
