Eric has over 35 years of experience in the IT industry (systems, storage, network, cyber security, hardware, software and services), including 15 years as General Manager France for large companies listed in the United States as well as the founder of a start-up.
After a successful start to his career in BTB direct sales, he decided to become an entrepreneur in the 1990s with the creation of DATACCESS, a systems and network integrator for large and mid-sized companies (+700 clients). He experienced the different phases of creation, growth, diversification, turnaround, and the separation with his co-founder.
His career path led him to hold sales management and general management responsibilities covering different business models: direct, indirect , OEM and alliances – in France or southern Europe – with a target ranging from global accounts to SMB. In his jobs he has developed a passion for business development and the co-creation of long-term value through partnerships.
At SOPHOS, he carried out a strategic refocusing and an in-depth reorganization of the French subsidiary. In 3 years, sales were reoriented towards the right customer targets, the product mix was reworked to push new-generation offers, user satisfaction gained 10 points; this resulted in a 170% growth in EBITDA.
It was in this context that he experienced coaching from his steering committee with the regret of not having done it sooner!
In his varied career, he has acquired a strong conviction: the manager is confronted with Mega Trends such as Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation & Cyber-Security which have a major impact on the company because all vertical sectors are impacted and all potentially "disruptable", including "brick & mortar". These accelerated changes are already leading to profound changes in jobs; according to an American study, 85% of the jobs of 2030 do not yet exist today.
Talent management is becoming more than ever a strategic issue for the company because whatever its size, "The success of the team is due to the individual and the success of the individual is due to the team". (Ian Thomas).
The people I coach are in charge of BTB companies with 10 to 1000 employees, aged 32 to 56 and occupying positions of CEO, President, co-founder, buyer
or salaried manager. They face 6 major personal challenges: loneliness, time, training, subjectivity, conflicts of interest and motivation.
Although having an assumed bias to coach cybersecurity managers, my "coachees" also come from other sectors such as construction, eco-responsibility, supply chain, IOT, Saas or cloud.
Some have received awards such as: CISO choice award 2024, Young Leader 2023 French American Foundation, Palmares des Inventeurs LE POINT 2024, SISTA'S 10 women to watch's list 2024, LES ECHOS Growth Champion, SYSTEMATIC Cybersecurity Champion, European Cyber Week Investor Day Award, Assises de la sécurité Award, FIC Award, Grand Défi Cyber Award, European Cyber Week Investor Day Scale Up Award, SYNTEC Innovation Trophy and FIC Jury's Favorite.
